Source: Here. It's a story in progress, but I've been trying to update it fairly regularly. It's a semi-adventure/romance/comedy story, yuri-oriented, but safe for work (I stress the fact that it is not porn). It's a fantasy setting, with little to no form of conventional "magic" involved. There are no typical "humans" (the closest approximation being elves) but instead the world is populated by various species of monster girls/mythical creatures/etc. Pretty much all of these monster people are human save for assorted add-on features; cat people (ears and tails), centaurs (self explanatory), fox people/kitsunes/whatever sounds least ridiculous (fox ears/tail - most of them have better names in-story I swear), stuff like that. There are regular animals and non-sentient creatures, but basically it's a monster girl/boy world (except for the goo girl race; they're single-gender and reproduce asexually, which I guess you could argue means they don't have a gender at all but most of them assume a shape with boobs so whatever?).

Profile:

Appearance: Izumo is a mershark/shark girl, naturally, but what exactly does that imply?

For starters, Izumo isn't very tall, but isn't necessarily abnormally short, either. She's in her early-to-mid-twenties, about 5'9", though she usually has horrible posture and tends to hunch over a bit when she's above water. Her body is athletic and toned, and she's strong enough to rip through fish without much effort.

Her face is pretty enough (and distinctly human except for the teeth, in case that wasn't clear), but her general demeanor and attitude detracts from its attractiveness. She's got golden-colored, mean-looking eyes; it usually looks like she's glaring at people even when she isn't, but really, most of the time she kind of is. Her features are kind of sharp and give the impression of a quick, merciless killer. And that's what she is, when it involves non-sapient food.

Her hair is black and short, generally hanging around her neck because it's kind of a hassle otherwise. It's actually pretty straight, naturally, but it's hard to tell when it's wet. She can get it looking pretty stylish when she wants, but she doesn't often bother putting forth that effort.

She has a mouth full of shark teeth, naturally. The icon pictures are of Uzai, a maid from Nijiura, who embodies obnoxiousness, for those who were curious.

So how does "Shark girl" factor into it, apart from the teeth? Well, her skin is gray, except for a white area stretching from the bottom part of her breasts to her pelvis. She also has gills at the base of her neck, near the collarbone. Her hands and feet have webbing between the fingers/toes, but the webbing between her fingers is retractable for more dextrous tasks.

She also has a shark fin and a shark tail, both of which require special adjustments to her wardrobe. Her tail isn't as thick as a real shark's tail, but her tailfin is substantial enough to provide a great deal of thrust in the water, especially when used in conjunction with her webbed feet.

Personality: Angers easily, but has her moments of calm. She likes pretty things, and can appreciate beautiful people, but her tolerance threshold for people in general is very thin. Prone to violence, but isn't so stupid as to get herself into a fight that she can't win. She prefers the solitude of her (above-water) shipwreck home to crowded towns and cities. She's basically just irritable and easily frustrated, and fairly socially inept. She acts like a bully to keep people from bothering her.
